What is Spiritual Direction?
Listening deeply. Supporting growth. Honoring the whole person.
Spiritual Direction is a practice of compassionate listening and reflection. It is not therapy, counseling/coaching, or evangelism, but rather a gentle process of accompaniment that helps people recognize how meaning, purpose and the sacred show up in their lives.
In sessions I offer presence, deep listening and thoughtful questions that support individuals in:
Exploring questions of identity, belonging and purpose
Integrating spirituality with everyday life and relationships
Navigating transitions, grief or uncertainty with support
Deepening awareness of embodied practices such as breath, mantra and meditation
Discovering personalized methods of pray or contemplative practice that continue beyond the session and sustain life.
Spiritual Direction is interfaith and non-religious. It welcomes and acknowledges seekers from all backgrounds, including those who identify as spiritual but non-religious.
FAQs
-
Sessions are typically 50 minutes
Offered online via Zoom or in-person (where available)
The client sets the focus: it may be a question, a life situation, or simply a desire to pause and listen
I may offer guided silence, breathwork, mantra, or prayer suggestions, but the emphasis is always on what the client brings
Between sessions, I encourage ongoing reflection or practice — “homework” in the form of prayer, journaling, silence, movement, or other personalized practices
Spiritual Direction is therefore more than a meeting. It is an ongoing walking-with that carries you closer to God (however you name or experience the Divine) and supports you in your daily life.

Spiritual Direction can enrich holistic care by providing a non-clinical, supportive space for clients who want to explore spiritual growth, faith transitions, or embodied practices.
I am available to:
Offer spiritual direction as an adjunct service within existing practices
Facilitate workshops or small groups on embodied spirituality, interfaith dialogue, or contemplative practice
Provide guest lectures or one-time sessions for retreats and community events
If you are a therapy practice, clinic, or wellness center interested in collaboration, I’d be glad to connect.
